An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Research and Red Cell Haematology

Candidates must hold current full registration with the GMC and hold MRCP. Applicants must have successfully completed Foundation and Core Medical Training (or equivalent). They will have FRCPath part one.
Applicants should have previous experience in haematology ideally with significant experience in red cell disorders.
Please see the full Job Description and the Person Specification for further details about the job role.
Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
This is a full time equivalent post on a 12 month contract with on call 1 in 7 as a haematology registrar. Although these are trust funded Specialty Doctor service posts, the clinical duties and teaching components are the same as in our deanery funded STR training posts.
The posts are EWTD compliant and working hours calculations include attendance at teaching sessions as well as prospective cover for annual and study leave.
The post-holder will report to Dr Emma Drasar as designated clinical lead for Red Cell Haematology who will direct activity on a daily basis.
