Description:

We are delighted to be able to recruit to a newly created Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist post to support our patients with the haematology service at North Manchester General Hospital and Trafford Hospital
The post will involve travel between both sites to provide care and support to patients within the Haematology Outpatient clinics on both sites.
The hours of work will be Monday - Friday, 26 hours worked usually between 08.00-16.00.
Applications are encouraged from registered nurses with experience in caring for patients in a Haematology/oncology outpatient setting.
This role will form part of the newly created team at NMGH with the 2 new Consultant Haematologists and join the already established team of 2 Consultant Haematologists at Trafford General Hospital.
Initially for training and support, the successful candidate will be required to spend time with the established CNS team at Oxford Road campus to develop skills and confidence in the role. Line management and ongoing professional support for this post will be provided by the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team based on Oxford Road Campus.
You will have a clear understanding of the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist as a clinical expert, leader, researcher and educator. You will act as the key worker for patients with a haematological diagnosis. Your role will be an integral part of the Hematology department and you will be expected to contribute to educational sessions and MDT meetings regularly. You will also be committed to the development of specialist nursing practice and demonstrate evidence of on-going professional and academic development.
