Description:
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE HAIRSTYLISTS ARE:
· Post-Secondary school education
· Valid Journeyman Certificate through Ontario College of Trades
· Previous experience in long term care and/or senior hairdressing, barber services and familiarity with the use of hairdressing salon equipment
· Knowledge and experience of Ontario College of Trades competencies and skill sets for Hairstylists
· Ability to follow direction and ability to direct and guide others
· Ability to perform routine tasks and understand oral and written directions
CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT/ EDUCATION
· Participate in orientation, training, and mandatory retraining in accordance with evidence-based practices and/or prevailing practices relevant to responsibilities within the department and Home
· Maintain active hairstylist license
