SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of the Hair & Beauty sector and current industry trends
  • Experience of Managing of resources; stock taking & purchasing
  • Experience of adhering to H&S regulations/records and providing a safe, clean environment to customers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues, students and customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Qualification in Hairdressing and/or Beauty or equivalent field (desirable)
  • Assessor and/or Verifier qualifications (desirable)

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing salons, equipment and materials prior to the commencement of each session.
  • Creating a realistic environment in accordance to industry standards and award body expectations
  • Support lecturers when directed in supervising learners and assessments under remit
  • Operate an electronic client database and hold accurate, up to date records/ consultation cards in accordance with data protection/GDPR
  • Initiate and Coordinate marketing activities to attract new clients or promote services
  • To provide a first level response to general enquiries from staff, learner and visitors
  • Operate a service which matches that expected in industry or official kite marks
  • Act as a mentor to learners in demonstrating outstanding customer service and developing customer service skills within the learners
