Description:

TAQA has a vacancy for a Harding Facilities Removal & Disposal Project Engineer to work with the Projects team.
This position is open to both staff and contractors. If applying via an agency, this will be a contract position, and any internal contractor who applies and is successful will remain with their current contracting company.

Compressed Working Week (CWW)
TAQA offers onshore employees and contractors a Compressed Working Week (CWW) in order to help achieve a healthy work-life balance. The CWW is an arrangement where employees and contractors work a standard two-week work period (10 days) over a compressed period of 9 working days i.e. employees contracted to work 37.5 hours per week will work 75 hours over 9 days (instead of 10 days). The 10th day in the second week of the CWW period is known as ‘Flex Friday’, a non-working day.

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

Essential

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline (or demonstratable experience in a similar role)
  • Project engineering experience, preferably part of a multi-disciplinary team with decommissioning content

Preferred

  • Project management qualifications e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE2
  • Experience of working on offshore Decommissioning projects
  • Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate

  • Knowledge of decommissioning legislation, engineering techniques, solutions, and challenges

Responsibilities:

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • Provision of Project Engineering support for the delivery of the Harding Facilities Removal & Disposal Project.
  • Working with the Project Lead, Project Manager, Structural Lead and the wider team to support the project through the initiate and appraise/select phases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including risk registers, action trackers, decision registers and other project management and governance documents as noted in the project roadmap
  • Support the development and consistent application of risk management, change control (MOPC) and plan execution across the project
  • Provide input into any applicable updates of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and help maintain the PEP recognising that it is a live document
  • Coordinate and support the preparation of Project deliverables required in service of progressing through the TAQA Stage Gate process
  • Provide input into the preparation of the Project Schedule. Provide regular updates to the Project Planner on activity progress. Facilitate Project input into the IAP process.
  • Promotes compliance with TAQA’s management system and project delivery framework
  • Plan and coordinate the execution of contractor/vendor scopes as may be required
  • Source TAQA information for delivery to external parties
  • Deputise for Project Lead as and when required
