Description:

You will work as a member of the hardware development team in our Optics R&D Center in Milano/Vimercate. We are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join our team, who possess a solid understanding of electronic engineering, to shape the future of optical data transmission. As a HW designer you will be part of the hardware development team in Vimercate, embedded in a worldwide Optical Research and Development organization. You will work on existing and new products

  • Produce hardware specifications, schematics. Perform unitary tests, write test reports and define factory tests for volume production
  • Perform Hardware integration of boards into optical transmission systems
  • Maintenance activity on our huge Hardware portfolio:
  • Qualify second source components and PCNs of any kind (clock, power supply, control, etc..)
  • Support Investigations of Customer and Field issues
  • Re-design of existing product in case of components obsolescence

Collaborate with teams in international Nokia locations

  • Master or Bachelor Degree in Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in Hardware development of complex and high speed boards
  • Good expertise in
  • digital and analog electrical design
  • simulation tools and languages for electrical design (e.g. PSPICE, VHDL)
  • electrical design and layout tools
  • scripting languages
  • design of programmable logic
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Italian & English fluently spoken and written
  • Strong interest and ability to work in collaboration with international partners
  • Ability to work independently with self-motivated and highly organized methodologies
  • Personal flexibility and agility to provide high quality results in challenging environment.
