Passionate about hardware but also interested in smart cars? Take a look at our Hardware Development Engineer in our Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) project development team.

Well, we don’t anymore because we have a solution - Advance Driving Control Unit: advanced performance computing, high speed communication interfaces and overall cutting-edge technologies are all parts of our Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and challenges for you! The final goal of this kind of ECUs is to help protect the lives of passengers and pedestrians and contribute in bringing automated driving (self-driving) cars closer to present.
If you are an electronics enthusiast which enjoys developing all sorts of analog and digital circuits and work with physical components, PCBs and test equipment then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

  • Clarifying the requirements for Hardware modules;
  • Designing the schematic, simulating & calculating components;
  • Performing worst-case analyses;
  • Reviewing with PCB design engineers the layout design;
  • Supporting and/or creating the HW test documentation and involvement into the testing activity;
  • Performing investigations and performance optimization;
  • Planning Cable Harnesses & Supporting colleagues working on LifeTimeTesters;
  • Supporting EMC performance investigations;
  • Collaborating to create the HW/SW interface specifications;
  • Collaborating with the IC Suppliers;

By working together, you will gain and increase your knowledge in the following areas

  • Design of automotive electronics
  • Understanding the entire development process
  • Development and Testing philosophy

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.
Your profile

You can be a perfect match if you have:

  • University Degree or students in areas such as: Electronics, Telecommunication, Power Electronics and/or knowledge and previous experience of hardware development;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Electronics Development area;

Knowledge of:

  • Good Knowledge of Electronics design;
  • Schematic design tools (e.g. Orcad Capture);
  • Simulation software tools (e.g. Orcad PSpice);
  • Interface between hardware and software;
  • Experience with automotive bus systems (CAN, Flexray, LIN, automotive Ethernet) is desirable
  • Basic knowledge in the programming language C / C ++
  • Basic knowledge of μC programming
  • In-depth knowledge of analogue and digital circuit technology as well as μC technology
  • Test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators);
  • Function block definition;
  • At least medium English level, for reading and creating technical documentation and to interact with colleagues from worldwide locations
