Description:

ABOUT US

Imagine if your expertise and skills could prevent a plane crash, reduce the number of accidents in factories, or get autonomous vehicles more quickly onto the market. Modelwise has developed the first mathematically complete solution for accelerated and improved safety analysis, so we can do exactly this. To continue to actualize our vision of revolutionizing safety analysis with our software across all industries, we are looking for hard-working, conscientious, and talented individuals to join our multi-disciplinary team. If you too are passionate about using your expertise to solve problems that contribute to solving real-world problems that make a difference in key industries, joining Modelwise could be the perfect career step for you.

Responsibilities:

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WOULD LOOK LIKE:

  • Facilitating Safety Certification and Model Translation: Leverage your expertise in electronic designs to develop and simulate integrated circuit models (e.g., ASIC, FPGA, microcontroller) using manufacturer data (e.g., datasheets, IBIS files) and internal requirements. This includes converting datasheets into accurate SPICE models for key ICs from the Power Domain (e.g., Regulators, Switches such as TPS784 and MPQ5069) and the Logic Domain (e.g., SN74 series). Your modeling and simulation skills will enhance Paitron’s digital components library, increasing the automation that our clients highly value.
  • Enhancing Product Performance: Participate in research and development initiatives to explore new technologies and methodologies to improve Paitron’s offerings. Propose and prototype innovative methods (using tools such as Matlab, Python, Java, C#) advancing our product and impacting the performance metrics that matter to our users.
  • Communicating Effectively with the Team: Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration abilities to coordinate tasks practically and effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.

A TYPICAL PROFILE SUITED TO THIS ROLE WOULD HAVE:

  • Master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience in analogue and digital circuit design, hardware design flow and tools including simulation
  • Familiarity with electronic components and their applications
  • Experience with tools for electronic simulations (OrCAD, LTspice, KiCad, …)
  • Knowledge in modeling/simulation (solver setup, debugging, convergence optimization…)
  • Knowledge in applied mathematics (numerical integration, basic gradient algorithms, Fourier transform…)
  • Basic knowledge of a programming language (Matlab, Python, Java, C++, …)
  • Experience with Verilog and VHDL for digital IC design is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (e.g., ISO26262, ARP4761, IEC61508) is a significant plus.
