Description:

Astek is on a lookout for (Junior/Senior/Staff Engineer) Hardware Electronics Design Engineer to be based in Singapore for one of our long project.

Responsibilities:

  • Circuit Design & Simulation : Develop and simulate circuit designs, create schematics, select components, and support PCB layout. Perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to ensure robust design.
  • Requirement Analysis & Documentation : Analyze product requirements, create detailed design plans, and generate technical documentation.
  • Power Supply Design : Design reliable power supply circuits to ensure stable and consistent power delivery.
  • High-Frequency Signal Integrity : Design and measure high-frequency signals to maintain signal integrity and minimize interference.
  • System Integration : Collaborate with firmware and software engineers for effective system integration and debugging.
  • Prototype Development : Manage prototype build and testing, addressing technical challenges encountered during development.
  • Reliability Testing & Certification : Conduct reliability testing and obtain certification to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Product Improvement : Upgrade and enhance existing products to boost performance and user experience.
  • Technology Trends : Stay updated on technological trends in electronic components and propose new product development strategies.
  • Technical Documentation : Write and maintain comprehensive design documentation, reports, and other technical materials

Requirements:

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years in electronics design, preferably with experience in industrial automation or automotive products.
  • Design Software Proficiency : Skilled in using electronic design software such as Cadence, PSpice, LTSpice, etc.
  • Circuit Design Knowledge : Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, with solid skills in circuit analysis and debugging.
  • Embedded Systems : Familiarity with embedded systems design and development for microcontrollers; experience with DSPs and FPGAs is a plus.
  • Power Supply Design : Experience with AC to DC power supply design (e.g., Flyback, SMPS) including selection and design of power modules.
  • High-Frequency Signal Design : Expertise in high-frequency signal measurement and design, including relevant testing and analysis.
  • Communication Protocols : Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CANopen, USB, TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, etc.
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) : Proven hands-on experience in designing for good EMC and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Reliability Engineering : Understanding of Design for Reliability (DFR) principles for electronic systems.
  • Industry Standards : Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes, such as CE and UL.
