HARDWARE ENGINEER
Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our team. The Hardware Engineer will design and develop electronic circuits based on product requirements. The role involves creating hardware schematics, documenting, performing circuit analysis, prototyping, developing the electronic product, and supporting the product manufacturing team. You will be responsible for preparing design review materials, and collaborating with systems, software, hardware, and mechanical teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics design involving Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, Memory Devices, Ethernet, ADC, SPI, I2C, USB2.0, RS232, RS422, A429, Discrete, Switching Power Regulators.
- Experience of working with RF interfaces such as Wi-Fi, BLE, and Cellular Modules is an asset.
- Experience with schematic design entry in OrCAD is required.
- Experience with LTSPICE and PSPICE are preferred.
- Experience in hardware development using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Debugging Manufacturing issues is preferred.
- EMI/EMC, Thermal, Vibration Issues, and Debugging experience is an asset.
- Experience with embedded C is an asset.
- Prior working experience in the Aerospace industry is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the product requirements and create detailed hardware schematics.
- Perform circuit analysis using LTSPICE and PSPICE.
- Design new electronic circuits using suitable components and equipment including product prototypes, test interface, and test equipment.
- Prepare materials (Block Diagram, Schematic, Design Description, Tolerance Analysis) for design reviews (PDR, CDR).
- Work with systems, software, hardware, and mechanical team members to analyze and solve design issues.
- Support product manufacturing team in solving hardware and systems issues.
