We are growing here at Daanaa and we’re looking to add a Hardware Engineering Manager to join our team to help oversee the development and growth of our Hardware team. As Hardware Engineering Manager, you’ll be reporting to our Director of Technical Operations. The mission as a Hardware Engineering Manager is to build and lead the hardware design team in developing Daanaa’s products.

- Hardware Development Execution: Manage the planning and execution of electronic hardware deliverables to meet specification while adhering to the scope, schedule, and budget.
- Hardware Development Methodology: Define, create, and implement hardware development processes and tools to develop Daanaa’s systems in a package. This includes managing internal workflows and vendors that supply our design tools.
- Engineering Team Development: Build, nurture, and enhance the skills, capabilities, and cohesiveness of the hardware engineering team. This includes but not limited to, team building, role clarity, mentorship, and coaching.
- Cross-functional Integration: Combine efforts from different functional teams to create a cohesive and fully functional product. This includes all product components (i.e., hardware, firmware, etc.) and ensuring they work seamlessly together to meet project goals and customer requirements.
You should apply if…
- You have a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplines.
- You understand the intricacies of interactions between the hardware team and other departments, determining the requirements for each relationship, and effectively develop and implement ways to scale these relationships.
- You have 10+ years of experience of PCB layout, analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, thermal analysis, signal integrity and EMC/EMI.
- You appreciate that firmware and hardware create a cohesive system and have in depth understanding of the interaction between firmware and hardware.
- You bring to the table 5+ years of experience in managing a team of hardware engineers. The idea of building, structuring, and developing teams that succeed and grow alongside the company is exciting to you. Being part of leading individually and through empowering others through mentorship and coaching is where you are happiest.
- You have experiencing managing a budget and can adequately predict and project what financial necessities are needed to carry out a specific project.
Compensation and Benefits Package
Daanaa’s compensation package is based on a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance.
The typical salary range for this position is from $140,000 – $180,000 annually. This may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
