In this role you will be responsible for:
- Developing innovative chip architectures inspired by open standards, focusing on processors that can be customized and strengthened for use in embedded systems.
- Creating hardware and firmware solutions tailored for FPGA and microcontroller applications.
- Designing specialized analog circuits, systems, and techniques that enable unique hardware identifiers, tamper-resistance, and secure authentication.
- Conducting hardware security assessments involving side-channel and fault testing in a dedicated lab environment.
Essential:
- Relevant Master’s degree
- 2+ years hardware/digital design experience
- 2+ years security engineering experience e.g. vulnerability engineering
- Deep knowledge of embedded processors
- Passion for research
- B2 German and fluent English
Desirable:
- Experience with chip designing - Tapeout
- Cryptography
