Description:

Accountabilities

  • Willing to work ANY shift in a 24x7x365 operations environment, to include weekends and holidays
  • Troubleshoot network issues via telephone while using a video conference tool
  • Must have exceptional customer service soft skills
  • Develop, document, and execute validation test plans on hardware, software, plug-ins, and operating system
  • Perform health check on all the hardware and software components
  • Develop, document, and execute automated test scripts in a lab and production environment
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades in a lab and production environment
  • Develop and document hardware and software baseline configurations
  • Develop MOPs in a lab and production environmentPerform hardware and software installation in a lab and production environment

  • Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ Years with working experience in telecommunications
  • Flexibility to work any shift, to include weekends and holidays
  • Advanced knowledge in network virtualization and cloud technologies
  • Advanced knowledge Fiber Optic Networking, with emphasis in SONET
  • Advanced knowledge in IP protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), MPLS, Ethernet, Routing, and Switching
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunication technologies (SONET, DWDM, OTN)
  • Experience supporting new product deployments, test plan creation and execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully multiple tasks while under pressure
  • Detailed analytical abilities and technical writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, to include reading and writingMust be able to travel a 50% of the time, or as needed

  • Degree in Engineering and 10 years working experience
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge in Fujitsu Telecommunication Products
  • Cisco and Juniper Routing/Switching Certifications
  • Comfortable performing product vendor evaluations
  • Advanced knowledge in Orchestrators
  • Experience with server installation and server management
  • Working knowledge in Cisco POD technology (server, switch, router)
