JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS
Synopsys Laboratory Team in Porto (Portugal) is part of a worldwide team responsible for the test and characterization of several IP products, such as HDMI, DP and MIPI (CDPHY, DPHY, MPHY). We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and talented engineer to fill a Test & Validation Engineering role in our Laboratory team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits (with Synopsys IP) full Characterization.
- Design and implement laboratory test setups.
- Use high-end laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Network Analyzers, etc…).
- Troubleshooting and Debugging.
- Understand test specifications, datasheets, and circuit schematics.
- Reporting and Documentation.
- Follow Quality Processes.
- Work closely with Hardware Engineers to improve or to create new test setups.
- Internal teams and customer support.
Requirements:
- Academic background
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Technical Skills
- Microelectronics, Mixed-Signal IC concepts, digital and analog circuits.
- Good understanding of transmission lines and s-parameters.
- Verilog, Python and Matlab.
- UNIX operating systems and scripting.
- Laboratory bench instruments.
- Soft Skills
- Proactive and supportive team player.
