Description:

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

The TDE Team at Teradyne’s North Reading, MA, USA headquarters is responsible for developing the test strategy, test equipment, test software, self-test software and procedures for new product introductions. We are currently seeking a Test Development Engineer, based out of our Costa Rica facility, who will serve as a technical contributor in our test development group. This person will be working in a local team environment in Costa Rica and collaborating with the extended team based in North Reading, MA, USA.

The Test Development Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and/or improve test processes for Analog, Digital, and/or Optical test equipment including test strategy, interface design, test station design, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, and process control capabilities
  • Integrate new processes into production
  • Collaborate with and train test engineers and technicians to carry out Manufacturing Test Processes on Process Lab floor
  • Serve as a technical resource for factory operations to assist in general troubleshooting and debug of hardware or test software
  • Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends to influence testing directions.
  • Ensure that production test station hardware and software meet Cyber Security requirements
  • Ensure calibration processes are Z540.1 and ISO 17025 compliant

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Visual Studio .NET framework
