As the Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals’ lives, making a significant impact through:

  • Remain current with industry standards for syringe access programs in NYS and across the country
  • Provide limited on-site direction to members of the mobile outreach team including sub-contractors, peers, volunteers, and others
  • Conduct safer injection related harm reduction interventions with Project Safe Point participants
  • Follow up on participant referrals from the Albany Police Department, Emergency Responders, Hospitals, and other community partners as appropriate
  • Conduct initial screening and/or intake activities for referred participants in need of harm reduction case management to evaluate participant needs

Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist Minimum Salary: $40,000
Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist Maximum Salary: $40,000
Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (37.5 hrs/week) Some on call shifts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience working with diverse populations
