The Theory and Clinical Instructor for the Health Care Assistant Diploma Program will play a crucial role in promoting student success and enhancing the program by:
- Delivering instruction aligned with course competencies and program objectives outlined in the curriculum.
- Timely evaluation of student performance.
- Utilizing industry connections to improve students’ practical training and job opportunities.
As a Clinical Instructor, you will oversee students during their Multi-Level/Complex Care Practicum, teaching clinical skills and assessing their proficiency.
Minimum Qualifications for Instructors in Theory, Lab, and Practice Education Courses:
- Hold current unrestricted full registration as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, or registered psychiatric nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Proven ability to teach adult learners, demonstrated through completion of a Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent education, or prior teaching experience with positive references or evaluations.
- At least two years of full-time Canadian nursing experience (1 year = 1400 hours), with relevant knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system, roles within healthcare teams, and current policies in residential and community care settings.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
