Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. General
    Under the guidance of line management and working closely with HMUK, deliver the Hyundai Finance (HF) business development strategy across all key marketing functions. Work closely with the HF Sales Director, providing support as required.
  2. Planning
    Develop an annual activity plan outlining timings, costs and high-level deliverables based on the strategic goals established for the role with line management.
  3. Reporting
    Using the wider business MI, analyse and deliver actionable insight to HMUK & HCUK to ensure trends, successes and challenges are understood such that appropriate action can be taken.
  4. Campaign delivery
    Work closely with HMUK Sales & Marketing functions to inform, develop, build, test and deliver retail finance lead consumer offerings as part of the quarterly Hyundai Motors marketing campaigns.
  5. Channel development
    Working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager deliver the customer channel development strategy through the integration of finance information, offers, calculators, quote and apply capability and any other future prescribed functionality into the Hyundai website.
  6. Customer communication and management
    In conjunction with the CRM & Retention Manager, refine and deliver the HF customer communication plan in line with the overall customer management and retention strategy. Support development of the Dealer network to establish optimal retention processes & engagement.
  7. Product development
    Assist in the development of new finance or related products, act as conduit for feedback on existing products, producing recommendations for product enhancements, and as agreed by line management.
  8. Marketing collateral
    Responsible for developing point of sale and other marketing collateral as deemed necessary and in line with Global Brand Guidelines.
  9. Incentives & Events
    Manage, through utilisation of HF’s program agency, the delivery of all HF Dealer incentive programs as prescribed by line management.
  10. Risk and Compliance
    In line with the company’s risk and compliance statement of responsibility and objectives, identify risks, incidents and breaches, in accordance with company policies and department procedures. Provide formal sign off & appropriate records management for any financial promotions produced by Hyundai Motors as part of HCUK’s required oversight. Ensure decisions are within policy, adhere to processes & guidelines, and within overall business risk appetite.
  11. Other
    Carry out any other tasks from time to time as may reasonably be requested by line management.

INFLUENCING AND NEGOTIATING SKILLS

Must be able to engage with internal and external stakeholders in order to reach mutually beneficial business outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Given the scope of this position it is essential that the job holder has the following experience:

  • Has significant and demonstrable experience either within an automotive related financial services industry or a motor manufacturer sales and marketing environment.
  • Would benefit from either having worked in an agency environment or worked closely with external marketing agencies.
  • Is able to produce sound working documentation and presentations, including business case proposals, briefs and business presentations.
  • Has an appreciation & working knowledge of legal, regulatory and compliance issues commensurate with the operation of a business regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. In particular previous experience and/or working knowledge of financial promotions is advantageous

In addition to the above it is expected that any candidate is able to display a good understanding of the general market sector, can exhibit sound business acumen, have excellent interpersonal skills and is comfortable and confident when dealing with senior management as necessary.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Based primarily at the Hyundai Motors UK (HMUK) head office in Leatherhead, Surrey, and reporting into the HCUK Hyundai Finance Sales Director, the key purpose of the role is to act as the day-to-day marketing interface between the two entities, and to build a strong working relationship through the delivery of a coordinated, or where possible integrated, approach to all marketing related activity.
