Description:
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Experience leading and developing a small team is essential.
- Knowledge and experience within the catering and hospitality industry is preferred.
- Experience working within a budgeted operation is preferred.
- Must be a good communicator, problem solver and organiser with strong interpersonal skills.
- A strong passion for food and desire to work with local, independent suppliers, wherever possible.
- The ability to work within a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to change at a moments notice.
- Knowledge of basic Windows systems is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the bar operation and its employees operate efficiently and within the companys budget.
- Plan ahead to ensure that future rotas are complete for your area and that, where possible, any potential issues are captured ahead of time.
- Lead a small team and work to resolve any immediate issues, escalating to the assistant restaurant manager when needed.
- Uphold high hygiene standards and ensure completion of all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, all to be in line with environmental health expectations.
- Assist with the hiring of new employees, ensuring that they are the right fit for the business.
- Train new and existing employees to a high standard and continue to monitor their performance.Where performance concerns arise, these must be escalated to the assistant restaurant manager.
- Maintain inventory and stock ordering for all products within your area, aligning to the companysbudget.
- Evaluate and critique performance within your responsible area weekly and report your findings to theassistant restaurant manager.
- To have full allergen training, ensuring that the details for all your responsible products are kept up to date and that all your team are trained to the highest level.
- To complete related alcohol licensing training and ensure that you and your team are always adhering to the correct policies.
- Market and promote products within the restaurant, to both employees and customers, encouragingup-sales.
- Create an exciting beverage offering to include weekly and seasonal specials.
