We are looking for an experienced and reliable Head Cashier to manage our cash handling operations, oversee the cashier team, and ensure an efficient and friendly checkout experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service. If you have a passion for customer care and a knack for managing front-end operations, we invite you to join our team as the Head Cashier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the cashier team, including scheduling shifts, providing training, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee all cash handling procedures, including balancing cash registers, processing transactions, and managing deposits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance and organization of the checkout area, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and equipped with all necessary supplies.
  • Implement and enforce policies related to payment processing, refunds, exchanges, and cash handling to minimize discrepancies and prevent loss.
  • Train cashiers on best practices for cash handling, customer service, and transaction processing, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for improving front-end operations, customer experience, and sales performance.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns or disputes with professionalism and a focus on positive resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cashier or retail role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or head cashier position.
  • Strong understanding of cash handling procedures, payment processing, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff to achieve high performance and service standards.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor and a commitment to resolving customer issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
