Head Chef - 4 days per week

ABOUT US:

The Westgate sits in a commanding position at the top of Winchester high street, we are home to 10 boutique style en-suite rooms, a restaurant with courtyard and welcoming bar. We offer quality British produce across our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and host a number of functions and weddings each year. We are a small and dedicated team, looking for the right person to join our business and grow with us.
This role is based on a standard 48 hour working week, across 4 days covering breakfast, lunch and dinner. £35,000 to £40,000 including bonus

• Have experience championing excellent service through quality food either as a Head Chef or in the position of Sous Chef
• Demonstrate a passion for leading a small team
• Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
• Be responsible and able to manage kitchen training and all health and safety effectively at all times
• Be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and specials
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
• Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house team
