We are inviting applications for a full time Head Chef who has culinary knowledge and experience with an eye for detail and takes pride in delivering 5* service to join and can enhance our established team in Castlemartyr Resort.
As part of the Kitchen team, you will be operating in exciting, fast-paced quality service outlets. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of the Executive Chef. This is a great opportunity to grow develop a career.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS IS ESSENTIAL:

  • Ideally 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Qualification in professional cookery or equivalent and a passion for culinary techniques.
  • Experience and knowledge of implementing and monitoring HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparations of the full daily menu ensuring timely preparation and delivery to a high standard.
  • Implement, monitor, record and complying with food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety and Hygiene standards in the Kitchen.
  • Ensuring quality control procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Assisting with the management and supervision and training of kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment, capable of multi-tasking with a professional ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Maintaining punctuality, personal appearance and personal hygiene.
  • Assist in the ordering of all purchases and deliveries of fresh produce/dry goods.
  • Assist in the checking of deliveries ensuring all produce is accounted for.
  • Assisting with the creation of imaginative menus.
  • Keep all areas of the kitchen clean and hygienic, and safe to work in.
