Description:

The head Chef position at The Fort McMurray Golf Club offers a competitive Salary base with added benefits and gratuities.
Oversee kitchen Operations over the peak spring and summer months providing food service to our restaurant, banquet facilities, and on course services including our Halfway hut. Food service operations continue into the winter months providing catering services and restaurant services year round.
Provide guidance, leadership, training for a team of approximately 20 staff at peak times.
Maintain a budgeted food and labour cost as per the budget.
Produce schedules for all kitchen staff weekly.
Manage and fulfill food orders.
Participate in menu development and cost control.
Work with front of house staff, pro shop staff and management team to develop new concepts that enhance the Fort McMurray Golf Club experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong background in restaurant and kitchen management
  • Proven team management skills with a focus on staff development
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
  • Supervisory experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Familiarity with bartending and serving practices is a plus
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $72,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
