Description:

We are looking for creative, passionate, and enthusiastic head chef to join our cafe. Passion for preparing and cooking quality wholefood and fresh food. Experience chef with excellent communication and leadership skill and can work well under pressure.
Experience working in a high-volume kitchen with an understanding for baking, modern Australian cafe offering and Wholefoods.
The right candidate will also need to demonstrate skills in running catering for the business.

Job Description:

  • Planning and designing menus for cafe and catering.
  • Calculating costs, ordering and liaising with suppliers
  • Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff
  • Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes
  • Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise
  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Liaising with the owner/general manager to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Ensuring all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards
  • Coordinating weekly catering orders
  • Meeting set KPIs for wages and Cogs

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
