Nori Sushi is looking for an experienced and creative Sushi Chef to champion the culinary and process standards. Backed by an established and well capitalised Melbourne business of 30 years history, Nori Sushi is looking for a founding member and culinary partner to start this small format Sushi Bar business in Melbourne CBD in 2025.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will be an experienced Sushi Chef looking to stamp their mark on the industry! With experience in managing a team of chefs, contacts with suppliers of the freshest fish available in Melbourne, confident and comfortable to design the kitchen layout, and an entrepreneurial spirit, the successful candidate will find this role a natural fit and enjoy the autonomy afforded as the culinary leader.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful applicant will be the culinary team leader reporting directly to the owner and will have an opportunity to partner in the business.

DUTIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recipes and Menu
• Kitchen design
• Supply Chain
• Manage the Kitchen team for production
• Work directly with front of house to deliver the “Nori Sushi” experience
