HEAD CHEF

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef or Sous/Senior Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step. As a leader in the business, Head Chefs are the figureheads of the dining operation. Your experience of fresh food and running beautiful kitchens will set you up for success, whilst developing your people to become the Head Chefs of the future.

We are a fun British pub with a glamourous makeover; style, excitement and a buzzing energy sits on the waterside in Gunwharf Quays. In the summer sun, the outdoor seating area is the largest in Portsmouth’s Quays. With a 10ft projector and HD TV’s, we a great spot for our guests to watch sporting events and unwind with friends. On the food menu, our guests will find comfort food as well as some more elevated plates, packed full of flavour.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
  • Leading, managing and developing your Brigade whilst ensuring their training is fully complete at all times
  • Conduct kitchen audits in line with company expectations, maintaining the operational standards at all times
  • Be responsible for the creation of kitchen rota, ensuring labour targets are met
  • Be able to design, create and cost new menu items for daily specials when needed in line with company policy
  • Conduct weekly stock takes to ensure delivery of GP margins in line with targets
  • Adopt a proactive strategy to boost sales and drive growth by engaging effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
