Job Summary:
The incumbent will be leading the Technology & Operations Governance & Risk function which serves as a centralized unit tasked with offering oversight and support regarding Technology and Operational risk and control across all processes. In this role, the incumbent is expected to collaborate with business process owners and 2nd line team in assessing and mitigating risks, incident, audit and monitoring of compliance related activities. The incumbent is to evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control arrangements and playing a key role in promoting good governance.
Responsibilities:
- Risk assessment: conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the organization’s technology & operations.
- Facilitate and support the review and oversight of Risk Register and Risk & Control Self-Assessment activities by business process owners.
- Compliance monitoring: monitor and track regulatory changes, ensuring remains compliant with all relevant standards, guidelines and industry regulations.
- Detection of potential risks at its earliest point possible.
- Perform regular controls assurance/ testing of key controls mitigating Technology & Operational Risks.
- Support the oversight and challenge of business process owner’s execution of Internal Technology & Operational Risk Events and related Root Cause Analysis.
- Develop/ update procedures or templates, where required to ensure consistency in practice execution of Technology & Operations governance related activities.
- Champion all technology & operational risk policies and guidelines as per Group and local regulatory standards.
- Conduct management / stakeholders update / presentations on Technology & Operations Governance related matters.
- Audit support: collaborate with internal and external audit teams, providing documentation and evidence as needed to demonstrate compliance and adherence to the governance standards.
- Incident response: develop and maintain incident responses plans to effectively address and mitigate breaches or compliance violations.
- Monitor and track existing incidents and audit activities to ensure timely closures and no further escalation.
- Ensure preventive and corrective measures for incidents and audits are implemented or executed accordingly.
- Monitor and tracking of contingent worker/vendor contract renewal.
- Reporting: prepare and distribute regular reports to management and stakeholders summarizing risk assessments, compliance status, recommendations for improvement and regulatory/compliance reporting e.g. CRS/FATCA.
- Training and awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on governance, risk and compliance matters, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
- Continuous improvement: identify opportunities for enhancing governance processes and recommend improvements to reduce risk exposure and enhance operational efficiency.
