Essential Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related scientific field
• 10+ years experience in patent and literature searching
• Excellent people leadership skills and track record of managing and leading a high performing team to deliver impactful results against project deadlines
• Excellent understanding of state-of-the art patent intelligence tools and methodologies, patent law and project management
• 5+ years experience working with SQL and Python
• Track record of successful completion of complex data analytics projects involving stakeholders across different functions
• Ability to build and present data-driven stories about the impact of IP on enabling patient access
• Fluent Englis

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Manage the IP search team to deliver high-quality, timely patent and literature searches in Small Molecules and Biosimilars
• Identify and implement novel approaches and tools, fostering collaboration in the team and drive a high-performance culture
• Manage and implement data science and analytics projects that support the overall company objective of enabling patient access to medicines
• Collaborate with different stakeholders in the organization, e.g. IT to ensure IP search tools and databases are aligned to company standards
• Manage the relationship and renewal process for externally sources databases. Stay on top of new developments and changes and evaluate impact on IP search strategies and methodology
• Manage and oversee IP searches conducted by external search providers, providing feedback and manage relationship with providers
• Identify and implement improvements in the search process, optimizing search strategies and staying on top of market developments with regards to data and AI tools
• Build a center of excellence for all IP data and data analytics request

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
