Essential Requirements:
- Degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related scientific field
- 10+ years experience in patent and literature searching
- Excellent people leadership skills and track record of managing and leading a high performing team to deliver impactful results against project deadlines
- Excellent understanding of state-of-the art patent intelligence tools and methodologies, patent law and project management
- 5+ years experience working with SQL and Python
- Track record of successful completion of complex data analytics projects involving stakeholders across different functions
- Ability to build and present data-driven stories about the impact of IP on enabling patient access
- Fluent Englis
Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Manage the IP search team to deliver high-quality, timely patent and literature searches in Small Molecules and Biosimilars
- Identify and implement novel approaches and tools, fostering collaboration in the team and drive a high-performance culture
- Manage and implement data science and analytics projects that support the overall company objective of enabling patient access to medicines
- Collaborate with different stakeholders in the organization, e.g. IT to ensure IP search tools and databases are aligned to company standards
- Manage the relationship and renewal process for externally sources databases. Stay on top of new developments and changes and evaluate impact on IP search strategies and methodology
- Manage and oversee IP searches conducted by external search providers, providing feedback and manage relationship with providers
- Identify and implement improvements in the search process, optimizing search strategies and staying on top of market developments with regards to data and AI tools
- Build a center of excellence for all IP data and data analytics request
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
