PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience on an in-house marketing, creative, or content team in a financial advisory firm or at a financial marketing agency
  • 3+ years of management experience with the proven ability to lead and mentor teammates to become their best selves
  • A proven portfolio of work featuring thoughtful marketing and success stories
  • Experience with creating and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns across multiple channels like email, landing pages, social media, blog posts, text messaging, etc. (i.e. This person has in-depth knowledge of a marketing funnel, how it’s set up, and how it contributes to the client journey)
  • A deep understanding of financial advisor practices, pain points, and marketing
  • Self-starter mentality, but ability to be a collaborative team player who allows others to level up their skills
  • Superior analytical skills and particular attention to detail with good business judgment and outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proper remote working environment with stable high-speed internet, electricity, and appropriate working space
  • Strong asynchronous communication ability
  • Tech-Savvy and highly comfortable producing in a virtual environment working with remote communication software

    As of July 2024, the expected compensation range for this position is $80,000-95,000 USD/ $80,000-100000 CAD based on country of residence. Pay will be based on several factors, such as experience, certifications, location, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. Snappy Kraken anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and retains the right to change or revisit the salary range according to business needs.

Responsibilities:

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE

The Head of Advisor Content position is a full-time, remote position at Snappy Kraken. Accessibility requirements are dependent on the role but could be expected during standard business hours Monday through Friday. This position is open to any candidates currently residing and eligible to legally work in the United States or Canada.
Snappy Kraken is an industry leader in helping financial advisors grow with a complete digital marketing system. We need an experienced marketing leader to help us achieve results for our financial advisor clients by directing campaign content strategy that incorporates automated campaigns, websites, text messaging, and content partnerships. This person will oversee teams and individuals throughout the entire content creation and implementation process, including managing the Content and Creative teams.
This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure high-quality, high-performing content is created and published for use by Snappy Kraken’s financial advisor clients
  • Manage the editorial calendar by setting themes, dates, and topics for campaigns, and ensure alignment with the creative direction and compliance requirements
  • Manage compliance processes and workflows and collaborate with any third-party compliance experts to ensure the content is usable
  • Manage internal and third-party content creators to produce high-performing content across product offering
  • Maintain quality and consistency by ensuring the style guide is followed
  • Regularly review and extract insights from available data to improve content adoption and performance
  • Comprehend our company’s product feature set and vision to enhance the value of content for our advisors and stakeholders. (e.g. Understand how our features work, and how that can influence the way the content is arranged)
  • Create and collaborate with our client stakeholder group to understand financial advisor wants and needs so they influence the content we create
  • Stay informed about the financial services industry, current events, and trends to deliver relevant and compelling content
  • Work closely with Client Experience, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize client adoption and satisfaction
  • Review and address annotations related to content and design drafting and testing
  • Audit and maintain our campaign catalog in line with the company vision and content strategy
  • Ensure Product Marketing Documentation is properly communicated and executed upon by Content teams, particularly if new features and enhancements are being put to use within content
  • Write campaign briefs that outlines the theme, audience, objective, and individual parts of a campaign, and discussing it with writers and designers before they kick off their work
  • Review design and copy drafts that are submitted to you and making annotations on how it can be improved
  • Conduct final reviews on a document or design file that has been annotated by proofreaders, marketers, or compliance reviewers. etc. You will conduct the final approval on all content before it’s published for use by our financial advisor clients.
  • Test campaigns once added to the platform
  • Review and approve invoices submitted by freelancers and keeping track of monthly expenditures on content
  • Resolve or research questions our internal team or advisors have that cannot be answered easily by the support or CX teams (e.g. “There was a recent regulatory change, and campaign X says otherwise. Should this be updated or is there something I’m missing?”)
  • Decide which campaigns or individual pieces of content should be updated (for either accuracy or better performance) or removed from our platform
  • Work with a compliance officers to update an out-of-date campaign by having them review and update sources and provide recommended copy
  • Lead a stakeholder group with teammates to see what questions, feedback or success stories they’re getting related to the content, and leading a stakeholder group with advisors to see where we can support and make their marketing or engagement processes easier through our content and automations
