Description:

The Head of AHP, Therapies and Education at Rampton will be part of Rampton Hospitals Leadership Team, working closely with members of this team.
The post holder will provide professional leadership and guidance, role modelling high professional standards and leading by example. As part of planned review of AHP leadership across the forensic care group, the post holder will spend time across low ad medium secure units.
The post holder will promote a culture of learning and cohesion across diverse teams, and align Trust and NHS AHPs Deliver strategic aims. The post will demonstrate the impact and added value of AHP Senior leadership on:
AHP workforce- improved recruitment, retention, and talent management
AHP practice – greater understanding of enhanced, extended scope, advanced, multi-professional practice.
Quality and governance, underpinned by AHP professional guidance
Effectiveness and outcomes of multi-professional care and treatment - including reasonable adjustments for sensory practice, communication access, meaningful occupations and activities and movement.
Improved patient experience and involvement
Greater AHP engagement- inspiring, collaborating and connecting AHPs across services.
Greater awareness across the Forensic Services Care Group, about the need to utilise the full transformative power of AHPs to optimise care.
To provide AHP and clinical leadership to the AHP and Therapies and Education team, and to work with the wider Leadership Team forming part of Rampton Hospitals Care unit Management.
To provide professional leadership and support to AHP services in the Forensic Care Group, work with General Managers within medium and low secure services, whilst directly line managing the AHP Managers within High Secure services.
You will define the professional models to be used within the Care Group, and with support of AHP uni-professional clinical leads provide a service based in best practice, that provides the very best care to our patients.

Registered AHP qualification Evidence of relevant AHP post registration qualifications, plus significant post registration experience at a master’s level or equivalent
Relevant experience in management and leadership position(s). Clear clinical expertise in achieving quality care and positive patient experience in a multi-professional environment.
Good understanding and application of least restrictive practices
Thorough knowledge of National Healthcare agenda, legislation, and local agendas.
Detailed knowledge of day-to-day operational systems, policies, procedures, and infrastructure.
Experience of teaching, influencing, negotiation and supervision
Strong track record as a motivational leader.
Experienced of effecting positive change processes.
Excellent patient focused assessment skills.
Highly motivated and have effective interpersonal skills.

Expertise underpinning theory acquired through AHP qualification and by accredited training and experience with ability to provide skills, knowledge, and experience to AHP teams.

In depth understanding and working knowledge of clinical governance.
Ability to manage under intense pressure when required.
