Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Awarding Organisation Development and End-Point Assessment will play a critical role in driving the strategic and operational advancement of qualifications, endorsed training courses, and EPAs. This role ensures the organisation remains a leading authority in qualifications design and endorsement, adhering to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and industry relevance. You will oversee the development, delivery, and quality assurance of End-Point Assessments across various apprenticeship standards, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, uphold exceptional quality and integrity, and deliver an outstanding experience for apprentices.

QUALIFICATION DEVELOPMENT:

· Project manage the design and development of Chartered Approved Qualifications that align with national standards, industry need and requirements of the Charter.
· Lead the review and update of existing qualifications to ensure their relevance and quality.
· Work closely with subject matter experts to develop robust assessment methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Have completed a bachelor’s degree and/or currently enrolled on a degree programme.
· Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
· Interest in the railway industry and a passion for qualification development and assessment.
· Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
· Ability to lead and inspire teams, including subject matter experts.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, especially in liaising with stakeholders.

PREFERRED, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience in qualification development and training endorsement, ideally within an awarding organisation or similar environment.
· Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and regulatory requirements (Ofqual standards preferred).
· Master’s degree or working towards.
