Express Network Operations Management Team is seeking for a Head of Aviation Security Compliance Europe f/m/d based in Europe, to be a part of our global network, could this be you?
Responsibilities:
- To safeguard the compliance of Aviation Security within DHL Express Europe.
- This encompasses; specifically: managing; people, infrastructure and process related aspects of our secure cargo handling and screening operations with the purpose of maximizing the security of DHL staff, customer shipments and company assets.
- DHL Security envisions to be recognized as the benchmark for security excellence in the express industry.
- As delegated by the Vice President Security Europe: leads the DHL Express European aviation security network with a compliance focus.
- Provides functional leadership, expertise and support in the field of Aviation & Air Cargo Security to all Express entities/countries in Europe.
- Provides solution-design expertise for engineering & building projects (including brown- & green fields) focusing on Aviation Security compliance.
- Ensures DHL Express EU compliance with all relevant regional and country regulations related to Aviation, Air Cargo & Airline Security.
- Act as Aviation Security liasion towards policy makers (Civil Aviation Authorities) and represent DHL’s interests in working groups/associations (EU, EEA, ICAO).
- Responsible for global oversight of EU security policies and certifications applicable outside the EU: RA3/ACC3; including validation/audit follow-up.
- Acts as the primary regional interface with DHL customers on Aviation and Air Cargo security related issues.
- Proactively liaise with law enforcement and other authorities to provide assistance and support and to highlight DHL’s strong support of such Authorities.
- Implement and continuously improve security policies/procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard staff, facilities, assets and customers shipments.
- Provides support and coordination for Global Aviation security issues, as identified, required and agreed.
- Serves as replacement for the Manager Aviation Security Operations during absence.
- Functional management of all Hubs & Gateway Security aviation security managers for all European entities; including the European airlines.
