THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for someone that has bought entire businesses into their visions, built and delivered world class marketing campaigns and has the passion and drive to execute relentlessly in one of the UK’s most dynamic and exciting categories.
This role is running one of the fastest growing consumer brands in the UK, Optimum Nutrition. Leading a hungry and passionate team across brand, athlete and community, the role is responsible for strategy and execution – from consumer-led 3 year and annual planning, through to campaign development and execution.

  • Build the 3-year expansion plans for Optimum Nutrition in UK to continue to fuel the double-digit growth trajectory
  • Continue to evolve the marketing strategy and lead its execution to engage consumers, shoppers and drive commercial demand
  • Develop campaign creatives that flow from the global brand positioning to drive attention, talkability and sales
  • Build best in class media plans, in partnership with the Head of Media.
  • Ensure the highest quality and flawless execution of brand campaigns across all touchpoints, from media and talent, to D2C, gym partners and in store.
  • Develop the partnership and athlete strategy to leverage the power of advocacy
  • As the one of the lead global markets, you will support the global team to stretch and deploy the brand positioning and work on strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage innovations from the international team and ensure best in class execution
  • Build strong multi-agency partnerships, including media, digital and PR.
  • Leading the evaluation and measurement of campaigns to inform future initiatives
  • Stay across consumer trends and develop creative ideas that reach the target audience
  • Oversee the local execution of other sports nutrition brands in the GPN portfolio, including Nutramino and BSN
  • Oversee the brand marketing budget
  • Manage a team of 6, building on the internal culture of wellbeing and healthy lifestyle.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced marketing leader with proven and tangible impact on previous businesses. A strong blend of commercial acumen and creative flair
  • Significant team and cross functional leadership with a proven record of influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Can clearly articulate brand strategy, adapt into compelling activation plans and motivate the wider business around a shared vision
  • Excellence in integrated campaign development and execution, including broadcast, social, digital and DTC. Has created a portfolio of highly creative and effective campaigns
  • Experienced in managing agencies, athletes and influencers
  • Preferred: Fast moving consumer goods experience
  • Desirable: Sports, fitness, nutrition experience
  • Desirable: Blend of strong blue-chip and entrepreneurial experience

SKILLS

  • Highly self-motivated, naturally curious and with a strong ability to innovate, driving ideas into the business that deliver rapid results
  • Results orientated, can manage multiple projects and workstreams effortlessly
  • High EQ with outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong ability to partner and influence across all functions
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation
