About the role
As Head of Business of our GTG Training centre in Wolverhampton, you will play a vital role in ensuring our company goals and expectations are met and that our policies are followed correctly. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our staff develop and be productive while ensuring profitability for the centre.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience within this role or in a similar role. The ideal candidate will also have experience of planning and budgeting, knowledge of business process and functions, as well as strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
Day-to-day duties
You will be responsible for the operational leadership and regulatory compliance of the apprenticeship and commercial training provision.
You will drive the improvement of the provision so that all programmes continually meet the needs of employers.
Demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of ESFA apprenticeship data compliance requirements.
Have experience of working in a team to support Ofsted inspection.
Be accountable for setting operational objectives in accordance with business plans and targets.
Have overall accountability for operational performance to service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Monitor performance through operational reviews and audits.

Ensure effective two-way communication processes with teams and managers.
Oversee day-to-day operations.
Ensure policies and processes are followed in line with company policy.
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations.
Prepare regular reports for senior management.
Help design strategy and set goals for growth.
Essential skills and experience
Experience in the delivery of English apprenticeship provision
Proven experience as an apprenticeship manager
Experience of planning and budgeting
Proven organisational and leadership skills
Excellent at problem solving and people management
Excellent communication skills
