Description:

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Claims Operational Performance Expertise in primary insurance as well as across several lines of business, U.S. Property, Liability/Casualty and auto/cargo (physical damage) MGA experience a strong plus.
  • Experienced dealing with US and UK related legal and regulatory systems
  • Good contacts with lawyers and other external claims service providers; network within Munich Re claims community desirable
  • Affinity and first understanding of claims IT systems; knowledge of international market claims system.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills essential
  • Strong organisational and presentational skills

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In this highly visible role, you will partner within Claims Leadership UK, and Group Claims Leadership teams to deliver tangible benefits to Claims.
  • Proactively uncover opportunities for operational improvement, and then champion solutions in partnership with other Claims Leadership teams and other Group business functions to ensure benefit realisation of change delivered.
  • Develop effective internal reporting framework to support the Head of Claims to ensure appropriate focus and prioritisation of tasks and initiatives.
  • Responsible for Claims MI delivery and insights and driving a continuous improvement culture.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Control framework, policies, and procedures and reporting standards to ensure consistent product or service quality across portfolio.
  • Lead the execution and oversight of integration projects and strategic initiatives, including technology integrations.
  • Oversee the MRSNA Outlier quarterly maintenance process and reported financials to internal management and legal governing entities.
  • Assist MRSI and MRSNA CAT assessment teams for early indications post CAT event, using reporting and technology, where available. Work with Analytics to feed automated data from technology for early CAT reporting.
  • Work with Head of Claims MRSNA to assess, review, and enforce quality standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with MRSI and GSI Claims Transformation teams to identify and implement opportunities to enhance internal MRSNA and broader group Claims processes and workflows to improve quality and operational efficiency.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strive for opinion leadership in claims operational oversight of primary insurance and thereby build a major pillar of MRSNA’s excellent positioning within the Group.
  • Negotiate, maintain, and monitor contractual documentation relating to the delegation of claims authority including Service Level
  • Ensure consistent Loss Fund Management over all our Claims Delegated Partners
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate strategic partnerships with external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to help scale the business and enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with partners, negotiating agreements that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure that strategic partnerships contribute to the organization’s growth and long-term success.
  • Develop integration strategies, comprehensive project plans, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of integration efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to provide insights into the department’s performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional Transformation, Data and Analytics, and Operations teams to coordinate integration activities and achieve seamless transitions.
  • Analyse data and metrics to measure and report on quality improvement efforts.
  • Work with Claims Compliance to ensure all relationships meet all federal and state laws and licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with strategic partnerships, integrations, initiatives, and quality assurance and develop risk management plans and contingency strategies to address potential challenges.
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and challenges of strategic integration and quality assurance initiatives to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
