Description:

Flow Traders is looking for a Head of Compliance for its EU operations. As EMEA Head of Compliance you will report into the Global Head of Compliance and the FTBV Chief Risk Officer and be directly responsible for all compliance efforts carried out by the compliance team based in Amsterdam and London. You will lead four direct reports that each own one of the compliance pillars (Regulatory Compliance, AML and Monitoring, Trading Compliance, Trade Surveillance). You will focus on continuous improvement of the compliance framework as well as guide and develop the members of the team. You will bring in your expertise to provide advice to our business departments and senior management.
You will be a counterpart for our Public Affairs team in engaging with Dutch and European Regulators. Furthermore, you will work together with the local heads of compliance in the US and APAC to align priorities and ways of working. Responsibilities:

  • Create and run the annual compliance plan across all regions in EMEA, in full alignment with the global compliance function
  • Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive overview of regulatory developments and provide advice on the potential impact on Flow Traders
  • Lead, guide and mentor direct and indirect reports
  • Ensure compliance risks are identified, assessed and mitigated
  • Maintain overview of business projects requiring compliance input and ensure adequate and timely advice is provided
  • Ensure requests from our regulators, exchanges and (internal/external) audits receive an adequate and timely response
  • Create periodic reports on key compliance projects, inquiries, incidents, regulatory developments and key risk indicators
  • Manage internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and maintain awareness across all key decision-makers
  • Actively support development of existing relations with our regulators and legislators in cooperation with Public Affairs
  • Further build and develop existing compliance capability
  • Provide training across the organization on compliance related topics
