The Head of Content is a strategic leader and the ultimate authority on crafting compelling narratives and messages that drive Exasol’s business and marketing goals. This individual will excel in understanding Exasol’s products, the marketplace, and leveraging the power of data and AI capabilities to optimize content initiatives. They will architect a comprehensive content roadmap, lead the development of high-quality content, oversee both internal teams and external contributors, and collaborate closely with executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven, goal-oriented content strategy across all stages of the buyer journey.
  • Craft persuasive sales and marketing copy to drive high-value actions (e.g., downloads, lead generation).
  • Set and maintain a consistent brand voice in all messaging, ensuring alignment with Exasol’s identity and personality.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and other teams to identify content creation needs.
  • Manage the content roadmap, including topic selection, prioritization, and asset development.
  • Build and maintain a robust editorial calendar.
  • Act as an SEO expert, ensuring all content aligns with best practices to maximize visibility and organic traffic.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze content performance, utilizing data to iterate and improve strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of content creators, writers, and editors, setting expectations and providing guidance.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and contractors to scale content output.
  • Partner with executives to develop content for thought leadership campaigns and communications.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive activities to inform content strategy.
  • Serve as the content SME for Exasol, regularly presenting to and advising executive leadership.
  • Establish content standards, best practices, and processes to streamline operations and ensure quality.
