WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and at least 8 years of experience in multinational environments. This extensive experience will give you a deep understanding of the complexities of global business operations. You must be fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Excel, using it with precision to analyze and interpret complex data. Your experience with SAP CO module, HFM, and Essbase will be key in financial consolidation and planning activities.
Your analytical skills are a strong asset, allowing you to identify trends, solve problems, and provide valuable insights. You are highly organized, able to manage tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Your communication skills will be vital in presenting complex financial information to senior management and collaborating with team members. As Head of Controlling, you will lead the controlling department in Romania (currently, with 1 resource). serving as a Business Partner for the Romania Business Unit. You will be responsible for the Planning & Budgeting processes for the full profit & loss, overseeing the montlhy closure activities in the controlling module and supporting the CFO and various business functions. You will ensure timely deliverables to Headquarters and support the implementation and maintenance of Controlling tools.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Head of Controlling, you will take charge of critical tasks that make a significant impact on the company’s financial health and strategic direction. You will plan the Profit & Loss activities each month, including budget planning and forecast updates in Essbase, ensuring flawless uploads into HFM (ORACLE). You will supervise the monthly closure activities in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
One of your main responsibilities will be managing Overhead costs, carefully following up on the monthly actuals and analyzing variances against the planning scenarios with different departments. You will also monitor Advertising and Promotions spending, reviewing variances with the marketing department and management, providing insights that help adjust strategies accordingly.
Additionally, you will support the business with regular reporting and ad hoc analysis, offering insights that guide decision-making. You will prepare and share profitability reports, detailing client and trade partner profitability in collaboration with Trade Marketing. As the new commercial year approaches, you will calculate transfer prices and upload them into SAP and supervise the preparation of weekly sales uploads and sales estimates. You will coordinate the price list preparation process, ensuring compliance with internal policy.
You will also oversee new product evaluations and investment proposals, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals. Your role will involve implementing group policies and reassessing existing ones to meet group requirements. You will support other departments with questions on the application of group policies and internal procedures.
