Description:

As the Head of Controls & Compliance you’ll be joining Inchcape at an extremely exciting time as we pursue our Accelerate Strategy. Providing digital solutions for our customers and OEMs and adding value and ease with our data and analytics to drive decision-making and standardisation, is a key enabler of Accelerate and our controls strategy. This role therefore requires someone who is passionate about controls automation as you’ll be tasked with using technology and data to embed our control framework into our core processes and systems across our Group.
Reporting to our Group Director - Reporting & Internal Control, the Head of Controls & Compliance will be a key part of the Functional team and the Group’s Centre of Expertise. You will have a track record of managing multiple priorities and senior stakeholders across Global Teams, acting as a champion of Controls & Compliance and being recognised as a credible SME.
Ensuring every interaction with your stakeholders is of the highest quality and is value adding will also be paramount to achieving excellence. Previous experience of controls automation (within an SAP environment) and robotic processes in addition to experience of working within a Sarbanes Oxley environment will be key to your success in role.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified Accountant with.
  • Experience in Global Internal Control Frameworks and Assurance projects
  • Ability to build credibility at senior levels across diverse cultures
  • Expertise in Global Controls Centers of Excellence and GRC frameworks
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK Corporate Governance, and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management and prioritization abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to discretion, ethics, and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Global Internal Control Strategy and compliance program
  • Prepare for UK Sarbanes Oxley requirements (COSO and COBIT)
  • Partner with global stakeholders to drive compliance and improvement
  • Enable controls automation adoption across the Group
  • Implement effective monitoring and testing of controls compliance
  • Lead change management initiatives and governance programs
  • Contribute to internal control reports for key stakeholders
  • Foster an inclusive and productive work environment
