As Head of of Cryptography Agility and Post Quantum , you will form part of a team responsible for fielding solutions that help defend HSBC against a wide range of threats to the business as well as its customers, clients, partners, and staff. In this role you will partner teams across HSBC, to implement novel defensive capabilities that are effective and adaptable against a constantly evolving threat landscape.

In this role you will:
- Manage Cryptographic agility, allowing for migration and improvement to cryptographic fundamentals such as algorithms, protocols and technique
- Lead embedding and managing Agility in system across HSBC relying on cryptography.
- Manage Quantum readiness, demonstrating an understanding of new algorithms and how to make migration to using those new algorithms, resulting in dynamic change
- Lead in embedding new algorithms into both legacy and new systems, resulting in HSBC movement to quantum readiness.
- Manage large projects whilst driving change
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, algorithms, and protocols.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions and integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cryptography solutions in a large organization, preferably within the financial sector or aerospace / defence industry.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to C-level and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in information security, with a focus on cryptographic services
