In order to support Airbus Operations GmbH in Bremen, we are looking for a
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You bring strong experience and knowledge within the German customs law, ideally also on EU level especially on economic suspension regimes such as Inward Processing
- You are an experienced in motivating and leading a team in a constantly changing environment
- You have knowledge of the IT systems from SAP and especially of SAP GTS
- You have the ability to drive decisions and handle high volumes of workload and expectations from Authorities
- You are a strong networker, ideally with international experience, and you are used to work in huge and/or international companies with constant transformation and changing processes
- Your German and English language skills are on negotiation level, French or Spanish would be an advantage

Responsibilities:
As Head of Customs Germany you will
- Lead a team of experts located in Bremen and Hamburg
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and the application of customs procedures
- Supervise the preparation of customs declarations by customs brokers to be submitted to the Customs Authorities
- Built up and maintain a national and ideally also an international customs network and exchange with peers in other countries during exchanges organised by the corporate head of customs and on your own
- Optimise the customs duties suspension process while reducing risks associated with customs matters
- Define the processes related to sustainable legislations having an impact on customs clearance
- Defend the customs position externally (e.g. vis-à-vis Customs Authorities) and advise other internal business areas on all customs implications
- Enhance the relationship with your peers in other countries, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, China, the USA, Canada under the leadership of the corporate head of customs for Airbus located in France
- Coordinate the support provided by a pool of corporate project managers in all new projects linked to legal or supply chain evolutions
- Provide support to the corporate head of customs for any topics related to Germany and on demand on transverse topics
- This job requires weekly business trips within Northern Germany and on a quarterly basis within Europe.
