About the job
Are you a visionary leader with a knack for strategic planning? Join our team as a Head of Cycles and Procurement and drive Danone’s procurement and material management function. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic approach to procurement and material management for direct and indirect goods and services across ANZ business.
Reporting to VP – C&P CNAO Region with a dotted line to ANZ GM, you will focus on building and retaining a capable Cycles & Procurement (C&P) team aligned with business needs and strategy. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic vision and its implementation as a leadership team member, while delivering global C&P priorities and targets such as service levels, productivity, and cash management.
You will:
- Develop, govern, and manage C&P Strategy to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term business objectives, based on customer strategic plans and input.
- Lead a diverse team focused on proactive problem prevention and risk mitigation, using an analytical and practical approach.
- Optimise resources by ensuring internal and external C&P resources are available to deliver projects in line with business plans and priorities.
- Lead C&P functions continuous improvement and compliance to Internal and external standards.
- Build and oversee the annual budget for the ANZ C&P team.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and identify training opportunities to foster a high-performing team of C&P professionals.
- Actively engage in Zone and Global C&P networks within Danone to align ANZ C&P strategy with broader programs.
- Build a network of suppliers and institutions (3rd party, ingredients, packaging, technology) for business collaboration.
About you

To be successful you will also have:
- Proven track record in food, infant formula, nutrition, dairy, or pharmaceutical MNC’s
- At least 5+ years in senior management with commercial acumen and vision.
- Proven project and portfolio management skills.
- Expertise in process development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, including legal/regulatory risk.
- Experienced in issue and crisis management.
- Sourcing and procurement experience in factory and supply chain settings.
- Strategic problem-solving and action plan execution.
- Knowledge of IMF regulatory requirements
