REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data team leader, with strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Snowflake architecture, design, and performance optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with CDP/composable CDP a benefit
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmen

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As the Head of Data, your primary goal is to lead the Data team to support the entire organisation and leadership team. Responsible for the data warehouse environment and related technologies, your team provides the infrastructure and reporting for operational insights, commercial opportunities, marketing optimisation to both efficiencies and growth within the organisation.
You will manage a team of Data Engineers dedicated to service the business and its department teams, responsible for their performance and growth, running team and individual performance and development meetings ensuring the team is successfully meeting performance KPIs and OKRs. You will need to monitor and report back on team activity, addressing poor performance with coaching and development, and at times, performance plans.
You will need to have a diverse range of data analysis and project management skills, gathering requirements and developing solutions for multiple stakeholders & teams within the business.
You will need to be comfortable with designing and extending the core record keeping and reporting data warehouse data models; utilising and developing Snowflake and directing the Devops team with requirements for the supporting AWS infrastructure. ArchiPro is always looking to extend capabilities, and future responsibilities may include a Customer Data Platform, identity graphs, attribution models and deep product usage analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Infrastructure: Design, develop, test, document, and operate a range of data processes to convert/migrate data from existing systems to a new data infrastructure (Snowflake + CDP)
  • Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business analytics and reporting needs.
  • Insights: Engage with the various departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy of their key metrics that matter and executive reporting requirements.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Data Activation: Ensure the data warehouse and related technologies supports ambitions for audience segmentation, advertising automation, personalisation and deep customer insights.
  • Performance Optimisation: Leverage your expertise to optimise data processing and analytics performance.
  • AI & Innovation: Assist in the design, development or procurement of AI or other tools and processes to leverage new commercial opportunities, make processes more efficient, and increase the level of insight and interpretation from data.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of data processes and solutions, share knowledge to enhance team capabilities, and lead initiatives to improve company-wide data literacy.
