Description:

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed graduate education in a discipline closely related to information technology, engineering, or business operations
  • A minimum of 10+ years industrial experience in management, production control, or supply chain roles
  • Experience with ERP, definition of information models and data standards, and with assurance of data integrity and quality
  • Understanding of business processes in manufacturing and supply chain management, and of concepts for cost accounting
  • Track record of driving decision-making and providing leadership in global operations or IT projects
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, and ability to lead cross-functional teamwork
  • Intercultural competency – ability to work effectively with colleagues from a broad range of ethnical and educational backgrounds, from workers on the shop floor to scientists and executives
  • Any of the following would be considered a plus: general IT competency and experience, familiarity with database technologies, computer aided design (CAD), business intelligence systems, and industrial data standards applicable to parts and materials

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a central data management and governance function at IMS:
  • Develop vision, strategy & roadmap for data management with an initial focus on assuring quality and integrity of ERP material master data, and later, selective expansion of scope to data across all critical business operations
  • Enroll domain experts across organizations in definition and enforcement of data standards required to attain excellence in business operations
  • Define and drive implementation of a governance framework – training, monitoring, and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement:
  • In close collaboration with internal IT and ERP, teams, key users, and external consultants, steer the required initiatives to improve quality of master data and data processes
  • Monitor progress and provide regular reports on data quality and improvement programs to the executive leadership team
  • In collaboration with functional managers, initiate and advocate measures required to improve or ensure data quality, integrity, and availability
  • Participate in the preparation of data, data models, and process definition for introduction of a new ERP system
