The role is remote in Germany or the Netherlands, we have an office in the Hague – you’re welcome to work from it anytime!
Are you a seasoned engineering leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and cutting-edge platforms? If so, then we want you to lead our new Data Platform team and guide our existing Infrastructure team as our Senior Engineering Manager/Head of!

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead and mentor two distinct engineering teams:
  • Data Platform: Build and manage a brand-new team dedicated to developing and maintaining our data platform. You’ll help define the team’s vision, roadmap, and technical direction.
  • Infrastructure: Provide strategic direction and leadership to our established infrastructure team, ensuring continued optimization and scalability.
  • Foster collaboration across teams: Bridge the gap between Platform and Product teams, promoting seamless integration and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with key stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, executives, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Champion innovation: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, exploring new technologies and optimizing processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop engineering talent: Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, fostering their professional growth and career development.
  • Oversee the entire development lifecycle: Manage the entire product development cycle for both teams, ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience successfully leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing data and infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills: Adept at motivating, inspiring, and empowering teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Technical expertise: Solid understanding of data architecture, infrastructure best practices, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic mindset: A keen understanding of how engineering contributes to overall business success.
