YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive, in-depth and very long experience in Data, Technology, Risk and/or Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Banking technology and Privacy requirements is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and managing high performing teams.
  • Solid experience and designing and managing control processes, including identifying opportunities to apply technology to manual processes and working with IT partners on implementation of automated solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

DETAILS OF THE ROLE AND TEAM

DB is subject to cross-border data transfer / residency laws and regulations of the jurisdictions in which it operates. The laws and regulations stipulate the minimum requirements for companies when hosting or transferring data between different locations or processing data.
DB Residency & Access Office is set up to standardize & implement Residency & Access Controls across the bank, including Control operating model, metadata strategy and technology tools to ensure efficient and effective application of Data Residency & Access controls for any data transfer and access requests.
You will drive strategic design and implementation of data Residency & Access controls across the bank.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive design and implementation of Residency & Access control operational processes including refinements of existing process leveraging automation and extension to new scopes and connected processes. This requires strong partnership with impacted 1st and 2nd line functions as well as technology.
  • Drive design and implementation of metadata strategy supporting required controls across the organization, including alignment of data taxonomies, defining and getting an approval of metadata ownership & governance model from relevant 1st and 2nd line functions, embedding metadata capture in key operational processes. Remediate historic metadata gaps, including adequate prioritisation and progress reporting.
  • Manage Residency & Access approvals for strategic change programmes and applicable run the bank processes within approved timeframes. Design and embedd KPIs / KRIs to be used by stakeholders to track progress and identify areas that require further change / remediation.
  • Maintain documentation of Residency & Access control operational processes in the Data Residency & Access Group Procedure and supporting document.
  • Partner with Technology and Group Architecture to design and implement automation of Residency metadata discovery and approval processes. Lead the rollout for the automated solutions across the organisation, including prioritization, user communication and training, progress monitoring and reporting.
  • Manage Data Residency & Access team.
  • Support the delivery of additional initiative outcomes as required.
