Our flagship development, One Horton Heath, is well underway. Delivering 2,500 homes, a primary school, commercial buildings and a new local centre One Horton Heath is a major mixed-use extension of the existing village that aims to place the core values of the Council at its heart.

About the Role
Work as part of the Projects Delivery Management Team to deliver strategic outcomes and project specific requirements of the Council’s Development & Regeneration programme, including the One Horton Heath project. Collaborating with colleagues, partners and stakeholders ensure all aspects of the programme are delivered successfully within agreed budgets and time limits whilst mitigating exposure to risk for the Council. Overall accountability for delivery matters relating to allocated projects within the Council’s development and regeneration programme with particular focus on the One Horton Heath Project.
Perform an integral role for the Council’s Project Delivery Programme including the One Horton Heath Project Management Team. Oversee and be responsible to the Operational Boards for delivery related matters for all allocated projects and function as a conduit to the Board for all related matters.
Provide accountable leadership and oversight ensuring high standards of service delivery are met. Drive continuous improvement to meet ongoing changes in technology, customer needs and financial challenges.
Lead by example, developing motivated and high performing managers and teams through coaching, mentoring and effective leadership.
About you
The successful candidate will be professionally qualified and accredited in a relevant discipline (for example CIOB, MAMP), with a demonstratable experience and knowledge of implementing and managing large scale construction and development projects at a senior level within a relevant organisation.
Significant skills and experience in delivering major civils, and construction projects, with a strong understanding of installation and delivery of multi-utilities including electricity, water and comms. Demonstrable experience of delivery for similar project scales and complexity with a proven history of working with internal and external project stakeholders and of managing teams of third-party professionals/ consultants, large works main contractors as well as small works contractors..
You will be able to set strategies, be a strong leader and be computer literate. The ability to manage third party consultants is advantageous.
