Our Department of Paramedicine (part of our Faculty of Health & Environmental Sciences/Te Ara Hauora A Pūtaiao) is the largest paramedicine educator, researcher and postgraduate provider in New Zealand. Our committed team of around 30 staff provide high quality education to over 550 FTE students, principally through the Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine and Postgraduate Programmes. Our staff are leaders in paramedicine and maintain close links with industry. Our student numbers and staff retention are strong.

This critical and unique leadership role enables the Department to achieve excellence and equity in education and research, whilst supporting implementation of the University’s strategic and operational goals. The Department is in a strong position and we’re looking for a paramedicine expert with staff management experience to continue the great progress made, whilst embracing space for your own innovative thinking to develop and respond to the changing needs of the sector and our students!
