We have a vision: we want to redefine the charging ecosystem for electric vehicles and make electric mobility the integral component of the energy transition.
We are developing software for the EV charging market that aims to enhance the overall journey for EV drivers through real-time updates and user-friendly features. One aspect of our vision includes developing the best charging app on the market for our biggest B2B client, E.ON Drive. But that’s just one piece of the puzzle. By leveraging the latest technologies and industry insights, we are working on a tailored solution that aims to empower CPOs and energy players to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ultimately drive greater success in their businesses.
As a team of 50+ across Germany and Europe, we have weathered challenges together, including tough times like insolvency. Design is crucial to achieving this vision, and we’re looking for a passionate Head of Design to help us push boundaries and create a seamless experience for our users.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead and inspire a small but growing design team, ensuring consistent high-quality work and fostering a creative culture.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and General Managers in a cross-functional organization to drive continuous discovery and UX strategy.
• Shape and implement UX strategy, aligning it with business goals and ensuring the design function contributes to overall company success.
• Recruit and develop top design talent, supporting the growth of the team through thoughtful recruitment and mentorship.
• Facilitate ideation workshops and design sprints, using tools like Design Sprints to foster creativity and collaboration across teams.
• Maintain a consistent brand identity across all projects, ensuring alignment with elvah’s vision and values.
• Manage external contractors or freelance designers as needed to ensure the success of projects and timely delivery of designs.
• Regularly plan and lead creative workshops to inspire innovation and explore new design possibilities.
