We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional that can lead the software development team and external partners on an exciting journey to get our digital user experiences in line with our physical products and services. POSITION OVERVIEW

As our Head of Development you will oversee the development of our digital products, thereby ensuring that our software and architecture is scalable and aligns with our business objectives. You will manage the internal development, data and dev-ops team and collaborate with external agencies and partners and interact with your stakeholders to align on the overall direction, manage priorities and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership, aligning with the company’s strategy and management team on staffing, budget, and priorities. Inspire and guide the team, taking a hands-on role when needed. Manage and mentor the development team, collaborating with the IT Manager to ensure resources and support. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Product Development: Oversee the development of our digital products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions on time and within budget. Aggregate key projects in a comprehensive roadmap to guide the development team and manage the expectations of other stakeholders.
  • Technical Vision and Evaluation: Develop - together with your team - an innovative technical roadmap, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure software architecture and IT infrastructure. Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends. Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies for adoption.
  • IT Infrastructure: Collaborate closely with the IT manager on cross functional digital topics, for example on choices made for the infrastructure such as networks, servers, storage and security.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in our digital landscape and implement proactive measures to mitigate them. Establish and enforce security protocols and compliance standards throughout the organization. For critical processes an ISO27001 ITSM has been implemented. Follow up on the implementation and oversee the procedures and controls.
  • Privacy & Data Security: Work together with our DPO and Legal team to comply with local, national and international data security and data compliance regulations. Follow up the implementation of our Ethical hacking bounty programme.
